What do you need to get started with Online Credit Card Transactions?
For this, you'll need an online merchant account which is a simple upgrade to your existing merchant account with your bank. Throughout the region, CIBC First Caribbean, Royal Bank Of Canada and Scotiabank all offer their business customers online merchant accounts with a number of providers.
If your bank offers e-commerce accounts using NMI, Plug 'n Pay or First Atlantic Commerce, then you're half way there.
You'll also need to make sure your website is secured with an SSL certificate. Your website host (GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc) or web developer can arrange this.
